The above is the Facebook page of a group of dedicated volunteers that have made it their goal to bring computers and technology to third world classrooms.  My attention was drawn to this by Sr. Fausta.  While we were working on a project for this class, she remarked that there was only one computer in her school.  She then proceeded to show me a typical Tanzanian classroom.  I was aware that most of Africa was a third world country, but had no real idea of what this entailed.  The classes she showed me were very spartan and primitive to my eyes.

The classroom in some cases were out doors and the students sat on the ground while the educator stood by writing on a handheld chalkboard.  Sister went on to show me that The government did have a tech program in place.  Then she told me that in many cases the educator, having very limited access to even the simplest materials, would often have to draw pictures of computers and the various parts.  The students all seemed to be in a state of disbelief that such things were real.
Having been so blessed by all that we have here in the states, can we not donate even the most basic computers to help these students into the modern educational system?
